Md Akter Hossain is a GIS and water supply systems professional with expertise in urban water distribution, DMA design, and GIS-based hydraulic modeling. He has extensive experience in planning, design, operation, and maintenance of water supply networks, as well as conducting GIS analyses for demographic and environmental projects.

He holds an M.Sc. in Geography and Environment and a B.Sc. in Geography and Environment from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh, along with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Project Management (PGDPM) from BiMS.
